BIONICLE Adventures 7.5: Among the Ruins
Epilogue

The telling of the tale was done. Vakama at last stood up from his place at the Amaja Circle, and came to face Takanuva. The Toa of Light’s face was a mix of emotions, confusion and anger coloring his expression.
“You knew of my destiny?” he asked, baffled.
The Turaga sighed. “I knew of the Mask of Light, and the prophecy of a seventh Toa. But I never could have expected that Takua the Chronicler would have become Takanuva. That was a destiny you found all on your own.”
“I found the mask where you had hidden it,” the Toa of Light said. “If we had known about it beforehand–”
“Then it may have fallen into the Makuta’s clutches.” Vakama rubbed his eyes wearily. “Despite our intentions, our secrecy was not always what was best for you. But the past is set. And you have fulfilled the destiny you were always meant to fulfill.”
Takanuva groaned, and turned away from the Amaja Circle. In the distance, he spotted the six Toa Nuva, accompanied by Hahli, making their way towards him. The secrecy of the Turaga had long frustrated him, but after all this time, the Toa and Matoran were safe. The guidance of Vakama and the others had been their aid, just as the Rahaga and Dume had guided Vakama’s own team.
At last, the Toa of Light turned back to the Turaga. “I wish I had known of my destiny before. But… I am grateful that I had you to lead us. I wouldn’t be the Toa that I am without you.” He paused, looking down at the Amaja Circle. “Thank you for sharing this tale with me.”
“Thank you for hearing it,” Vakama said, a slight smile spreading across his face. “I often feared that your courage would lead you to a final adventure. I hope that you have many more ahead of you.” He extended his hand to Takanuva. “Come. Let us prepare for the arrival of the other Toa.”
